Olive and Daisy by Mehdi Rasulle

This life-size sculpture of a dairy cow and her calf references the reserve’s history as a dairy farm and longstanding location for the Osborne Park Show. The reserve was named after William Edward Robinson, a master dairyman who established his dairy on the site in 1905. Despite starting off with very little capital, he built a highly successful business and was actively involved in the agricultural shows at Osborne Park. The artist chose to represent the cows lying down so that they would be more accessible and safer for children.
