Unspoken Balance by James Giddy

This mural features the Choonya (long-neck turtle), Ngnoolark (Carnaby’s white-tail black cockatoos), Kwooyar (motorbike frog), Egrets and New Holland Honeyeaters; all different kinds of creatures that can be found at the reserve. The frog and turtle contain within them scenes from the lake, featuring the egrets and other local birds. The creatures, usually seen at a distance, are depicted in great detail, giving visitors the opportunity to appreciate them in another way. They also evoke a sense of community and togetherness.
