Artist Statement: Twisted and motionless yet still standing proud in amongst the sharp strands of grass this wooden monument can almost be heard reaching out for its last and final gasp to survive. Turned to stone and claimed by the harsh conditions in which it was born the subject speaks of survival as its outstretched fingers point to the man-made concrete tank harnessing the crucial element that allows us to survive in this harsh land Water. - Ross Potter
