An original Crown Grant of 1000 acres with frontage to the Swan River.
It was given and granted to James Drummond, Naturalist and Botanist, by the Governor of the Colony, John Hutt Esquire, on the 5th April 1842 in the reign of Queen Victoria. James Drummond born 1784 arrived in the Colony of Western Australia on the 1st June 1829 aboard the Parmelia from Perth, Scotland.
