It was given and granted to Mary Ann Hokin, alias Thomas, and her children by the Governor of the Colony, John Hutt Esquire, on the 18th October 1842 in the reign of Queen Victoria.
William Hokin died on the 17th December 1831 and the grantees were his wife Mary Ann, born 1790, and his children John born 1815, William George born 1817, Mary Ann born 1817, Thomas born 1821, David born 1823 and Chrales born 1826.
The family arrived in the Colony of Western Australia on the 31st May 1829 aboard the Parmelia from Portsmouth, England.
