Behind the Dog Swamp shopping centre was a playground built by Lance Brisbane as a showpiece for the Bristile company. Among the features was Old Mother Hubbard's shoe, based on popular fairy tales and rhymes. There was a small castle built of brick which still remains today, the only remnant of the well loved play area.
