The Belcastro market garden was Lot 14 Government Road Osborne Park, which changed names to Odin Road Osborne Park, then the suburb name changed to Balcatta. When it was subdivided it became the suburb of Stirling. Pasquale arrived in 1925 and purchased the land around 1933.
Pasquale's daughter Clementina who was born in 1944, recalls spending time at the Italian Club in Perth, going dancing there on a Saturday night. Sunday was for visiting and the Belcastro parish church was St Theresa, at 678 North Beach Road, Gwelup. The Belcastro children went to school at St Theresa Primary, then to Lake Gwelup state school. Life was simple growing up on the market garden, the siblings would play football and cricket on the roads and with their friends the Donatti's and the Zuchatti's.
