Churchlands Senior High School opened in 1962 and moved to the current location in 1963.
A special music program was established in 1972 and a new gymnasium/hall building was added in 1974.
A fire destroyed many of the school buildings in 1997 but a rebuilding program commenced in 1998.
The Concert Hall with 500 seat capacity was completed in 2012.
