204 Main St, Osborne Park. In 1935 the Kookaburra Picture Gardens, seating 350-450 people, opened in Main St, Osborne Park. This was apparently in a local hall with adjacent gardens built specifically for films. This venue was operated at first by Payne and McClure, then by R.F.McClure alone (as was the SeaView at North Beach), and was renamed the Orion in the early fifties. In the late fifties (unlike North Beach) it was taken over by A & E Gionotti, and it continued to screen till 1965.
