This venue was situated on the east side of Beaufort St, between 2nd and 3rd Avenue, so is clearly not to be confused with either the Piccadilly Gardens, or the Lyceum. It was a 'gardens’ only in name, being rather a vacant quarter-acre building block between shops, with a cyclone fence along the street frontage, allowing passers-by to look through at the screen. It was opened in 1925 by Mr Dunleavy and carried on by James McKerchar, who was later to be connected with theatres around Fremantle, but it closed during 1928.
