Paul Zuchetti collection

Paul Zuchetti is the owner of Karrinyup Flower Shed on North Beach Road, Gwelup.

Karrinyup Flower Shed is a small local farm, growing seasonal flowers and some vegetable lines. The farm supplies local stores with homegrown produce, alongside supplying the public with fresh flowers in a roadside shop. 

The Zuchetti collection was donated in 2024 and is extensive, comprising photographs, documents and ephemera relating to the Market Garden Association of Western Australia.

Gaetano Zuchetti (9 October 1902 - 2 August 1996) arrived in Fremantle on the 'Orsova' from Port Genoa in 1924. He was a farmer from Tirano, Italy, and after arriving in Western Australia he spent two years clearing land and sleeper cutting in the Southwest. 

Gaetano Zuchetti then spent ten years in the Kalgoorlie gold mines. He is best known for the 45 years of hard work contributing to market gardening on his property in Osborne Park.
