Marsala house was designed by renowned architect Iwan Iwanoff. Construction of the residence began in 1976.
The house is included on the Heritage Council of Western Australia's Register of Heritage Places and City of Stirling's Heritage List.
The house is a double-storey residence, constructed from concrete blockwork with a fibro cement roof. It is considered one of the best and most intact examples of Iwanoff's signature Late Twentieth Century Brutalist style.
