12 Albert Street North Perth

During the 1920s through the late 1950s, Albert Street was well known for its market gardens operated by prominent local families, including the Gooey family, before the broader area was rezoned and subdivided for residential growth.  Possibly a connection to market garden families now in the City of Stirling.

Albert Street is one of the foundational historic streets of North Perth. North Perth’s very first school—originally named Woodville School and later North Perth Primary School—opened nearby on Albert Street in January 1899.
