Opened in 1970 as North East Balga Primary School. In 1971 the name changed to Warriapendi – Motto: To look, to seek, to find. There were newspaper articles published at the time dated 16 December 1970, over the name change which was first challenged and rejected by the Education Department . A time capsule was apparently installed in 1979 but the location is now lost. Warriapendi school had a fire in 1977.
