Lake Gwelup Regional Open Space is located along Huntriss Road in Gwelup.
The lake is a popular destination for walkers and nature-lovers, featuring pedestrian pathways, a viewing platform, and the Lake Gwelup Story Trail.
The Story Trail captures the stories of Lake Gwelup in a permanent walking trail around the lake to share the area’s rich history, culture and biodiversity with the community.
The viewing platform and boardwalk on the southern side allow you to get closer to the wildlife, and the pedestrian path network allows scenic walks around the natural areas and wetlands.
The reserve is dog friendly, and includes a sail-shaded playground, cricket nets and sporting grounds, as well as BBQs, picnic shelters, and public toilets.
