Samuel Faull, J. P. was born in Moonta, South Australia. He married Mary Ellen Martin in 1890 in South Australia. He was a fitter with the Railway Department for about 25 years, and a prominent member of the Labor Party. During this time, he was active in the Amalgamated Engineering Union as Organising Secretary for about ten years. He was also a member of the Perth Road Board – (Inglewood Ward) from 1931 until1937.
He later became a member of the Lotteries Commission for three years until he passed away on 23 April 1939. The Faull Park was named in honour of Samuel and is located between Central and Fifth Avenue in Mount Lawley.
