Robert J. Daniel

Councillor Robert Daniel was born in 1938. He served as the City of Stirling Councillor for the Inglewood Ward from 1989-2007. During this time, Councillor Daniel has served on and Chaired many Committees and sub-committees, such as the City of Stirling Policy, Corporate Planning, Budget and Finance Committee, Technical Services Committee and House Committee.

Councillor Daniel has also represented the city on many advisory committees, including the Disability Services Advisory Committee, the City of Stirling Scholarship Selection Committee, the Inglewood Aquatic Centre Redevelopment Sub Committee, and the Heritage Sub Committee, of which he is Chairman.

Councillor Daniel has also been an active member of the Inglewood Ward Ratepayers and Progress Association, serving as Vice President for 10 years and then President for 6 years. His ability to combine his considerable commitments to these community organisations with his responsibilities and achievements on the Council demonstrates his strong individual commitment and invaluable contribution to the community.

Councillor Daniel was awarded the WALGA Honours - Long and Loyal Service Award in 2006.

The Bob Daniel Stirling Community Centres in Inglewood is in honour of Councillor Daniel's dedication to the community.
