Robert Davey Hardey

Mr Robert Davey Hardey was born on 28 April 1834 in Guildford, Western Australia. His father, John Wall Hardey was a prominent landowner in Belmont district in 1830's. In 1854, Mr Robert Hardey extended the Hardey family's land holdings in the Belmont district to nearly 7,000 acres.

Mr Hardey married Maria Jemima Stone on 7 January 1859 in Perth, Western Australia. They had six children.

He was a member of the Perth Road Board from 1878 - 1882, 1882 - 1892 and from 1893 - 1899.

Mr Hardey passed away on 6 March 1905 in Perth, Western Australia, at the age of 70.
