Brett is a Nyoongar man with cultural links to the Binjareb and Wilman peoples of the Southwest of Western Australia and currently lives and works on Nyoongar boodja.
A printmaker who was introduced, taught, and trained in the art form by his mother, Laurel Nannup, Brett’s main focus in his art is to investigate and interrogate ideas of what it means to be a man in today’s society, as well as exploring his own identity and place in the duality of the Nyoongar and Western worlds.
