Wade Taylor

Wade Taylor is a Western Australian painter whose practice explores issues surrounding Australian identity and landscape, conveying notions of suburbia, nostalgia, and the everyday. With a focus on the materiality of paint and the emotive properties of colour and light, works centre on the familiar yet strange qualities to the contemporary Australian landscape. Taylor’s work is highly collected. His paintings are held by the Art Gallery of WA, City of Perth Art Collection, University of Western Australia Collection, Edith Cowan University Art Collection, City of Joondalup and a number of private collections.
