Graham John Burkett

Graham Burkett worked in banking and operated a drapery store in Osborne Park before becoming a City of Stirling Councillor in 1973. He served as Mayor of the City from 1979 to 1983. He was then involved in state politics, winning the seat of Scarborough in 1983 and being re-elected in 1986. He later worked with the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, Main Roads WA and the Minister for Government Enterprises. He also returned to local government, representing the Coastal ward of the Town of Cambridge from 1997 to 2004.
