Harry Williams was a member of the Perth Road Board in the following years: 1871-1875, 1878-1878, 1882-1885, 1887-1896 and 1900-1904.
In 1869, Harry Williams took over his father's dairy and livestock on land at Herdsman Lake, which included the former Helmsville. Later Harry became President of the Perth Road Board.
