The 10th Light Horse Regiment is a Western Australian mounted infantry regiment of the army reserve. The regiment went through several name and number changes since its formation. During World War Two the regiment conducted mounted patrols of the south western Australian coast as a defence against potential Japanese invasion. Mechanism was partially introduced, and the regiment was the last in Australia to patrol with horses.
The badge, feather plume, colour patch and puggaree are consistent with those used by the 10th Light Horse Regiment in World War Two, but appear to have been displayed on a slouch hat manufactured in 1966.
