Marine grade nylon and polyester ropes are commonly used. Nylon is favoured for its flexibility and ease of knot tying, while polyester offers good strength and low stretch, making it suitable for running rigging and mooring lines. Braided rope is often preferred for dock lines and sailing rigging due to its ease of handling. CollectionCoastal collectionHeight (mm)2500MaterialsnylonHistorical details
Every boat owner needs to know how to perform some important tasks, like docking a boat, tying up a boat, and anchoring a boat. All of these endeavours and many other common boating procedures share one thing in common: they involve handling lines. And just about any time that line handling is involved, knot tying may be too. The most commonly used boating knots are bowline, cleat hitch, clove hitch, half hitch and the figure eight.
