Plaques and heritage markers collection

Memorialising people, places and events is a key part of the City of Stirling's Community History activity. Plaques and heritage markers are an important way to mark the contributions by significant community members. Celebrating our key sites, buildings and cultural landscapes builds our identity and sense of place.

Plaques in this collection represent a historical survey and may not represent current practices for plaque applications and approvals. Some plaques and heritage markers in this collection may have been removed, relocated or may no longer be in the original location.

Ten new heritage plaques were launched recently, forming a heritage walk along Beaufort Street, part of a project the City of Stirling undertook in conjunction with the Mount Lawley Society. You can find more information here City of Stirling - Mount Lawley - Heritage Walk
