The artist’s vision for a public artwork at Apex Park was a three-dimensional freestanding sculpture of three tree trunks connected by their foliage that celebrate the location and its environment. The three interlocking tree canopies contain images of different activities and animals found at nearby locations. The first canopy represents Marmion Marine Park and the marine life and beach activities it is known for. The second canopy represents Apex Park itself and the recreational activities of its visitors. The last canopy represents Star Swamp Bushland Reserve and the native animals that can be found there.
