"This artwork was produced as a commission on the closure of the Maylands Brickworks, to capture the heritage of the site before demolition.

In this linocut, I chose to emphasise the contrasts between the fine, curved lines of the foreground grasses and the overriding geometric structures of the brickworks, as well as the powerful positive-negative shapes."
