Edge of the abyss by Rebecca Dagnall

A seemingly traditional landscape disappears into a void - an underworld below the surface. The work is from the series 'Absence and Presence: states of being in the Australian Landscape' which formed part of the artist's PhD presentation and was exhibited at the Perth Centre for Contemporary Photography. It was also a finalist for the William Bowness Photography Award 2016.
