Shelley Taylor-Smith

Shelley Taylor-Smith grew up in Yokine, on Fairway East, near the golf course and attended Yokine Primary School.  She learnt to swim at Mettam's Pool as a child. Taylor-Smith went on to Tuart Hill High School which had a pool, that first opened in 1962. She joined the State swim team and won several races. Shelley went on to swim competitively as an adult and became a world champion open water swimmer.
