Heritage site marker St Kieran's Church

St Kieran's Church site combines a Parish Centre (former church 1923), a Presbytery (c. 1930s), a Bell Tower and a Church (1983). This distinct precinct of ecclesiastical buildings demonstrates the ongoing physical development of the site. The 1923 Parish Centre (former church) is a modest but attractive building constructed in the Inter-War Gothic style exhibiting characteristics typical of the style, including warm-coloured face brickwork with contrasting rendered details, steeply pitched gable roof forms, regularly-spaced buttresses and lancet-arched windows. 

Patrick Joseph Clune CSsR personally layed the foundation stone on 4 August 1913. Father John Maloney was the first priest appointed to the parish with the redesignation of ecclesiastical boundaries in 1919.
