Jim King writes "Back in the 70s’ we had regular rock band concerts and beach girl beauty contests on our metro beaches. The entertainment events were normally sponsored by Perth radio stations and drew big crowds."
Photo-journalist Ric Chan captured these images of WA’s first 6KY Surfin Sarfari event held at Trigg Beach. The event ran on Sunday 14 February from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Oz singer Russell ‘The Real Thing’ Morris was the headline act. Other entertainment included a Beach Girl contest & beach games.
