Carmel School was founded in 1959, originally in a building near the Brisbane street synagogue. The school moved to the current location in 1962.
A junior high school was opened in 1974 and the senior high school was added in 1978.
A synagogue complex was added in 1984.
Description
Carmel is a co-educational K-12 school situated in the heart of the Perth Jewish community.
The school has more than 410 students, with approximately 80 dedicated staff members. Carmel is centrally located on expansive grounds, with the Early Learning Center (ELC) and Primary Schools distinctively separated from the High School by the presence of an oval and recreation area.
