Perth Hebrew Congregation

The goldrush in Western Australia in the 1890's brought many Jewish families to Mount Lawley, like the Cohen's. The first synagogue was built in 1897 designed by William Wolf. It was demolished in 1975, and a new synagogue was built. The modern synagogue, constructed in Menora, incorporated a wall of stained glass memorial windows taken from the congregation's former synagogue on Brisbane Street.
