Terrence John Tyzack

Councillor Terry Tyzack has had a distinguished career in local government, serving in various roles including Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Chairperson of numerous committees in the City of Stirling. He has been actively involved in high-profile advisory committees overseeing significant development projects. He has been a City of Stirling Councillor from 1974 – 2017. He was also Mayor 1984 – 1986 and 2005 – 2007. 

Beyond Stirling, he has served on the Mindarie Regional Council and the Western Australian Planning Commission and is currently the Chair of the Governing Council of the West Coast College of TAFE. An architect by profession, he is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and an Examiner for the Architect Registration Board of Western Australia. Councillor Tyzack has a long history of community involvement and was nominated for Life Membership to the Local Government Association for his outstanding service. In his free time, he enjoys golf, tennis, and art. 

The Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre in Inglewood is named after him.
