James Arbuckle

Mr. Arbuckle was born in 1879 in Booroondarra, Victoria. In 1903, he married Eliza Steer in Perth, Western Australia. Together, they had nine children.

He and his children operated a large vegetable farm business and owned a market garden in the Balcatta/Gwelup area, trading under the name Arbuckle and Sons.

In 1924, Mr. Arbuckle was elected to the Perth Road Board, thanks to strong support from the Lake Gwelup and District Progress Association, which promoted the welfare of residents and the material advancement of the district.

Mr. Arbuckle served as a member of the Perth Road Board from 1924 to 1930.
