Rae and Walter Kolb family collection

Rae and Walter Kolb lived in the City of Stirling for over 50 years and are active members of many community groups. Walter passed away in December 2025.

The Kolbs were founding members of the Stirling Natural Environment Coastcare group devoting many years to planning and implementing annual dune restoration programs along the City's 6.5 km stretch of coastline. In 2025 Rae Kolb was awarded for her dedication to community with over 35 years active service as an official volunteer with the City of Stirling.

The Mount Flora Regional Museum and the City of Stirling History Collection have benefited from the Kolbs' dedication, through donations of valuable objects and photographs, and through volunteering as part of the North Suburban Historical Society.

This collection of images was donated for the Heritage Awards and documents the Kolbs' social and family life in the City of Stirling over decades of residency.
