Albany Bell built this property in 1909 on the site of the original inn for his family of 9 children. However his main purpose for purchasing this land was to secure a site for his factory, that would produce foodstuffs for his tearoom. The factory produced cakes, pastries, ice cream, chocolates and confectionery. The building still stood in good repair in 1997 when this image was taken. It later became used as the workshop for the Department of Civil Aviation.
